Is a Website Right for You?

You’re a small up and coming business.  You break even every month.  You have a decent amount of customers but nothing too impressive.  Does this sound familiar to you?  If it does, you need to find a way to get your company moving forward.  If you are failing to bring in new customers, then that means your competitors are the ones getting all the business and you are losing business.  Which is obviously bad for business.

So where do you turn when you need that extra something to make your company even better.  You go where everyone else is; to the Internet.  In today’s society we find everything we need on the internet.  If you want to know where the nearest shopping mall is, you don’t ask a friend, you ask Google.  If you want to know how the food is at a restaurant, you don’t go to your neighbor, you read reviews you find on the web.  That’s how it is now.  We are a technology based society and you need to be involved in it.

There are many benefits to having your own website.

Accessibility:  Your customers will have an easier time getting information about your products or services.  On your website you can provide your phone number, addresses even a short history about your company.  Have a page of testimonials that your potential customers can read.  All of these things will encourage them to buy your products.

Expansion:  You will increase your customer base by enabling yourself to reach people who aren’t local.  With small business your main customer base is the local community.  By putting your company online, you are taking the first steps to finding more customers.

Improvement:  No one likes to hear about their own faults, but in business it’s practically a requirement for improvement.  You can’t fix something you don’t know is broken.  By having a website, you will be able to give you customers the chance to give feedback so you can improve your company, products and services.

These are all amazing benefits, so why hesitate?

If you are unfamiliar with how to set up your own webpage, just go to and they will walk you through it step by step.  It’s a good place to start if you want to get the hang of it.  Don’t shortchange your business.  The Internet is an amazing business tool and you should be using it to its full potential to get your company to its full potential.
